ABOUT
Kate Rosenzweig moved back to Pittsburgh in 2020 after a decade in Boston, LA, and NYC, and quickly discovered that making friends in your thirties is weird. In 2024, she started KNIT PIT as a monthly knit night at Eleventh Hour Brewing. It's since grown into a community with regular meetups across Pittsburgh, a virtual chapter on Discord, workshops, classes, and ongoing collaborations with local makers and small businesses.
She's been knitting for over a decade and loves teaching people how to fix mistakes, tackle weird projects, and build confidence with their hands. By day, she works in creative project management.
Today, KNIT PIT runs monthly yarn clubs at breweries around the city, beginner-friendly knit and crochet workshops, weekly craft-a-longs, an audiobook club, and one-off events. It's still rooted in the original idea, which is a low-pressure place to make things and meet people.
